May Escapes
It’s June though it feels very much like mid-may to me.
May was weird- On and off colds, a high fever with some complications, navigating a healthcare team that seems to have taken a left turn to I don’t know where, maybe one of them woke up with a tollbooth in their bedroom. I’ve shared before that when life gets complicated I disappear into thriller/suspense/mystery/horror with no real discernment. The book has to be really bad for me to put it down. Like, really bad.
These are the books I finished* in May:
The Hunting Party also Lucy Foley
A Stranger in the House by Shari Lapena
The Overnight Guest by Heather Gudenkauf
These things hidden also by Heather Gudenkauf
Then She was Gone by Lisa Jewell
The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena
The Death of Mrs. Westaway by Ruth Ware (Hello old friend)
Murder Road by Simone St. James
*I’m currently reading Middlemarch with one of my sisters along with Losing Music by John Cotter and I just got and read a small bit of I Shouldn't Be Telling You This: (But I'm Going to Anyway) by Chelsea Devantez.
All of the links take you to Bookshop (except for “hello old friend”) because Amazon is being annoying because I didn’t buy the books through them.
